From Florence more than likely she'll be arriving at 2F and if departing at 8am I guess she's on AF22, which will be from Terminal 2E Hall L or M.
Due to the early start I would suggest a hotel on the airport site, rather than one that needs a shuttle bus transfer off site - I've found the shuttles to be a little unreliable in the past early in the mornings.
Not sure what your version of "not too pricey" means, but there are a few options towards the cheaper end..
There's a Yotel airside in 2E, but never stayed there, don't know what it's like.
Using the CDGVAL free train in the airport there are IBIS and IBIS styles which hover around the 100euro range.
Novotel is approx 175euro/night.
There are also a Hilton, HiX, mercure and Pullman etc nearby, but all need a 5min walk after the CDGVAL to get to.
The Sheraton on the airport/station concourse is very easy but probably not the cheapest.
Although not passed through in the last few weeks, and I dare say you can get quite a good price most places in the current climate.
