Don't they have those special "stickers" that they place on a ticket if only the date/flight# is changed?

I remember my grandfather who kept changing the date of his ticket while he visited us in Canada. He changed his ticket like 5 or 6 times and the airline (CX) ticket office just kept putting a sticker on the flight coupon. (with the new date / flight# etc.)
