Just wondering if any CK members have had specific experience regarding this.

I know that the policy for separate PNRs is: through check-in to final destination is not permitted, and has been the case for some time now.

Has anyone been in a position to ask if AA will do this for CK members?

I have an upcoming DFW-LAX AA, with a 9 hour same day layover, to LAX-SYD on QF - both on two different PNRs.

If the only option is a luggage storage facility in LAX then that's what I'm prepared to do, just wanted to know if there was an alternative.
