At Sofitel NY, they call it Urban Fee. It is $33/day and here is the description they give :

What a Joke : premium wifi is supposed to be offered to top tiers of ALL. Package delivery to room : LOL are they serious ???? and the movie ?? what if I have no intention to watch a movie (thank you I have everything I need on my tablet). And the daily credit is not even valid for breakfast. I am getting really mad at such a rip off .
