That's not surprising and there will be a re-familiarization period for cabin crew. Most cabin crews had their one-day A220 training several months ago, more than 6 in some cases. So going six or more months between one-day training and practical usage will lead to some fumbling, but it's just cosmetic for the most part.
I wasn't paying close attention, but my understanding of their debate was if they went Step 1 English, Step 1 French, Step 2 English, Step 2 French or English: step 1-20, French, step 1-20.
That isn't type specific.
