Am not getting option to request upgrade during OLCI
Would appreciate advice: Am SE, was waitlisted for an upgrade on a flex ticket for a domestic flight - did not happen. Come to check in, does not provide me with an option to waitlist and go on upgrade waitlist. I know front cabin is full. I check in, get Y BP, check app, and see there is someone else on the list, so others have been successful.
What am I doing wrong?
**UPDATE: spoke to a very competent and friendly agent who explained to me that my route still in transition, so although I am showing as waitlisted on their system, I will have to re-request the upgrade at the airport. This is line with all the expert comments I have read in FT threads, but what confuses me is: how come there is one other person on the app waitlist already?
