Give the Week Long Bender its Due Respect!

Anyway I am flying to the far-east (day time trip) in a couple of weeks and toying with the idea of abstaining as a sort of experiment. I must say I enjoy a drink as I always travel alone and boredom/lack of sleep is my biggest enemy.

Can anyone shed any light?
Having just come off of a week long bender (and I am getting too old for this, but I do have to say that the first 4 or 5 days were a blast) ... there is no way that 4-5 drinks on a long haul flight could make you feel like you were on a week long bender.

Try a few days in Ireland, on 14 to 16 pints a day ... and then move on to Belgium for a few days on trappist beer. Then let's talk about whether or not the original comparison is accurate.

Trust me ... it's probably been too long since you've been on a week long bender. So you've probably forgotten how that feels.

The sensation that you are talking about is more of a hard night's session, rather than a week long bender.

I'm not saying that the morning after a hard night's session isn't a difficult one ... but good God man, give the week long bender its due and proper respect.
