- Sure, one can find a few Hampton Inn that would do some extra things like a hot soup in the evening or some beer and wine. I think there was one Hampton Inn in Raleigh/Cary that was offering cheap free drinks Mon-Fri and that hotel was taking one of the top spots on the Tripadvisor. Overall, Hampton Inns in US are marginally better than the equivalent Marriott brand.
Personally, when traveling for business I would only stay in Hampton Inn if there is no full service Hilton nearby. Then the Hampton is typically a miss than a hit. Some of those hotels would have popcorn ceiling, tired furniture, sheets that scratch your body, and somewhat minimal breakfast.
