I understand that trip interruption coverage on the Chase Sapphire Reserve card covers "Quarantine of You or Your Traveling Companion imposed by a Physician or by a competent governmental authority having jurisdiction, due to health reasons".
I see that many countries are now mandating "self isolation" for 14 days in the event they determine you've been in an area where there is a spread of coronavirus.
My question is -- are the terms "quarantine" and "self isolation" interchangeable here for the purposes of Trip Interruption coverage?
I'm going to New Zealand on Friday.
Say at some point while I am there, the government mandates me to "self isolate" for 14 days at a hotel. If I am liable to pay hotel costs for 14 days, does trip interruption coverage cover that?
