France / French “APD” (Air Ticket Solidarity Tax)
I’m flying MRS-LHR-JFK. AA ticket in Y, with first segment operated by BA. My SWU has cleared for LHR-JFK. AA says I owe $44 (the French APD), saying that the tax applies when any segment has been upgraded. Is that correct? Sounds wrong to me.
