I've been to DPS via KUL (MAS) and HKG (CX) on a few occasions and both have been ok. I've travelled with AirAsia from SIN too but of course no Avios.

As ​​​anonymous_third_party mentioned, HKG>DPS can be expensive for some reason (I was once quoted £1000+ in Y!) so used Avios to put myself in J.

Next month I'm going via our friends at QR.
