I was looking forward to upgrading to SWV but not long after we booked a non refundable airfare (around Aug or Sep last year), SWVs were scheduled for renovation. We don't normally book that far in advance but $650 business class return on Srilankan SIN - MLE with a stopover in CMB was too good.

If they are going to renovate SWVs, should I request the room away from them? 328-330 location looks good but closer to SWV. I prefer to stay on a sunset side. Still thinking about upgrading part of our stay but my partner was not impressed with GWV and thought it wasn't worth the money. From the photo somewhere, it looks like GWVs with Jacuzzi are all on the sunrise side?
