Got it. Now I feel silly!
I went on aa.com and there was nothing for Iberia, no matter what class I picked. Only AA-operated web specials flights that left BOS early morning, went through PHL or JFK and required spending the whole day at either of those airports before taking off at dinnertime for MAD. So not ideal.
Am I missing something on the AA website? I know from the IB website that those flights are there.

I didn't see Turista class on the IB website.
I think I'm going to end up with Economy both ways booked with miles on the Iberia site. It's the only reasonable flight I can find, both for duration and price.
I think RT in Economy would be 56,000 Avios + $181 for 4/3 - 4/8. Does that sound right? I think that's accurate but at this point after all this research I'm not sure I trust myself!
