Interesting. I have stayed at Regent's Park once, but thought Maida Vale had a bit more neighborhood vibe. Maybe I didn't get out and explore the area enough though, as it was a very short visit that time.
It has also been more expensive for my particular dates recently. Not tremendously, but enough to make a difference.
