I agree with this in principle and for most issues (having contributed a number of the links in the FAQ).
If this is a sticky, why wouldn't a large number of the others qualify?
Perhaps because of the nature of the content and the high traffic associated with the content of this thread... While there may be some, I can't think of another single subject that generates more threads and duplicated threads (for example, look at how many threads were started last week alone about promo MPW 094).
There is also the "derivative" aspect of it: putting it in the FAQs gives you a link to a thread that has links to promotion threads... That would probably negate a lot of the usefulness this thread can serve.
At any rate, it is something I put to the moderators for their consideration and decision, and whatever they decide to do will be fine by me.
