I've suggested that before. 737 pilots are "real pilots" and it would not be natural for them to think about the possibility of a computer trying to kill them. Pilots of aircraft designed after, oh, the integrated circuit was invented always have in their mind that possibility and thus consider turning the computer off as a step to not die.
