I do travel fairly light, 1 or 2 bags not checked into the hold, but because you can use the travelators on the skylink to the railway station, and the Hilton is just over the road from there, then it's generally best to walk. All 3 terminals are within 600 metres, and T1 is only 300 metres from the hotel. The mini-bus shuttle has to go around a one way system that makes it further than it looks. For T3 walk towards the T3 Meet and Go car park, then cross that car park into the building. T1 and T2 it's best to use the skylink, but in the case of T1 it is slight faster going across the T1 car park at ground level instead. I allow 10 minutes from reception to any terminal. If there is a mini bus waiting then I will hop in, but that's out of laziness, it won't be quicker.

For me, with about 10 visits in the last 5 years, it's an OK hotel, if you get a good rate then it's fine if unexciting, the Radisson is definitely the better hotel, but charges accordingly. If the rate is well north of £100 it's not going to be good value. It has been updated in recent years to some degree but not in a lavish way. The staff are friendly at least.
