When I first stayed at this hotel around 5 or 6 years ago, it was probably the second worst hilton I had stayed in Britain.
(The worst was the Hilton in the Isle of Man which lost the Hilton franchise around 10 years ago.Not sure how they even got it and became a Hilton in the first place!!! )

The furniture in the room had around half an inch of dust on it for a start. We were tired after a long flight and just didnt have the energy to ask for a change of room at that time.

Did write to the hotel later but never heard back. I have avoided this place since then.

However as a few others pointed out the place seems to be doing some renovations and a few colleagues who have stayed there recently feel that it's much better than before.

But please be aware that you still need the shuttle even though it's called an airport hotel unless you are travelling very light.

Also from memory the time it takes to reach your terminal could be far longer than trying to walk as they stop at each terminal to let people out.

it also depends on how many people are waiting for the shuttle ahead of you.

I would suggest that you add an extra time of at least an hour if not more for the time it takes to the airport.

PS: Not the actual journey time which will not be more than 10-15 minutes even to the last terminal but the whole waiting for the shuttle etc time..
