Airpods vs Airpods Pro? I'd go for the pricier Airpods Pro for general entertainment use and relaxation purposes (even as I have both).

I keep my Bose over-the-ear QCs still, but I find that I'm rarely taking them on my flights and had largely given up traveling with them on flights even before the Airpords Pro. My Shure in-the-ears still come along for wired connectivity, but mine don't have ANC capability and are less comfortable for long periods and resting than the Airpods Pro. I still won't pay more than $300/350 under any circumstances for headphones, and I got my Airpods Pro for less than $200.

I carry around more electronics than I usually need, but the big Bose QCs require so much space that flying with them is no longer as desirable as it used to be for me.

I'm not a big-time spender on audio tech and my ear for music isn't looking for the "best of the best" in acoustics, so don't look to me as an example of what to do if you really want a very high end music-listening experience and don't mind diminishing gains from additional money spent to get to the ultimate levels.
