As long as Marriott Surawongse sticks to the rules without providing an elaborate breakfast in the lounge such as Marriott Marquis Queen's Park does, it will remain a weakness. For people who do not care much about breakfast it's a non-issue but if you value breakfast when in Bangkok, it remains a sore point that makes me hesitant to come back given the wide range of alternatives in the city.
Keep in mind that there are a lot of generous rates that'll include breakfast here. My corp rates has breakfast included and 3x points to boot.
