I've been at properties where they provide drink/food/credit vouchers in lieu of having a lounge.
I feel this is something this hotel could trial, if they pro-actively provide vouchers when they know the hotel will be packed. Sure one might be able to enjoy the lounge THEN use the voucher, but compared to having to operate 2 lounges, it's should be a no brainier.
Guests are happier, and hotel saves costs + drive traffic and potential revenue into their F&B outlets
