If you were ok with the 787, you’ll be fine with this, a 9-abreast 787 has about the same seat width as a 10-abreast 777.
I much more prefer A330, which flew on this route in December. I thought that A330 did perfectly fine. There was plenty of legroom and space in between the seats. I also agree with you. 787 feels tight. I just didn't expect any place could fit in 10 seats in one row... That's really sad and concerning...
