I read through this thread and the reviews on Tripadvisor before booking a three night stay here. I will say that there are a lot of pro's and con's to this resort. I felt it was a step down from the Tambo Del Inka even though they are in the same category level. I'll write a full trip report, but for now I will point out that there was a noticeable of trash on the beach and certain areas of the resort either have been poorly maintained or are aging. Beyond that, things like our patio connected to our room and patio furniture were filthy and never cleaned during our stay. Almost none of the employees could interact in English. What was interesting was the agent who checked us in spoke a sentence to me in English and then heard my wife speak to the bellhop in Spanish and then the front desk agent refused to speak to me during the entire check-in process and spoke to my wife as my wife translated to me as I'm not fluent in Spanish. I reached out to the GM and they basically apologized but were unwilling to acknowledge any issues. They wrote that they hoped we would stay again soon so that next time they could "change our experience".
