Perhaps they used an annual free night certificate from the credit card. Regardless if it is already in your account you should be fine. One other thought, if you guaranteed the reservation to the card you're planning on cancelling, you're most likely still okay. To be safe you could call in and update the card used to guarantee your reservation.

Thanks guys for the input.
I already had those 2 certificates for a while (over 6 months or so), I had until March 3rd 2020 or so to use them, so I made a reservation for March 30th 2020.
I used my Capital One credit card for the taxes and reservation credit card.
Would that mean I have a green light to cancel the Marriott Bonvoy card without worrying about the reservation being cancelled? My card renews in about a week so I was going to cancel it within the next few days.
