Yes, any indication that you might get two weeks or even two days prior to departure is really meaningless. It's like being the first person to check in for a flight
at 24 hours prior to departure. You will be number one on the list for about a nanosecond and then as everyone else with higher status or fare or whatever, keeps
bumping you down the list. I always find that if I have no expectations, I won't be disappointed.
