Using the website pull-down, I selected the Waldorf Astoria Panama and entered the dates of my stay (earlier this month). I was then redirected to the regular Hilton.com website to complete the booking. I checked in and out at the hotel in accordance with these dates.

Upon checking out from the hotel a few days ago, I was informed by the clerk at the front desk that the $100 credit had not been included with the reservation and the $100 credit could not be given. In spite of having accumulated nearly $300 of food and beverage charges at the hotel, I was told that I needed to contact someone else to rectify the apparent computer error/glitch.

I have been in communication with Hilton (through the website & e-mail) to see what can be done to obtain the advertised promotion. No luck so far. All I've been offered is 5,000 points.
Pull up your email confirmation, what rate did you book?

Once you verify your card details, you are redirected back to the normal Hilton website where the special rate code for the $100 Aspire property credit is loaded in the search criteria. However, it is possible to continue to click around, select other rates, etc. You must book the specific Aspire benefit rate to receive the credit.

So, if you booked the correct rate, the hotel is definitely in the wrong, I might try calling the hotel directly with a "billing error" on a past stay, rather than dealing with the Hilton corporate maze. But, if you verified your card info, got redirected to the Hilton website, but ended up booking a "normal" rate then you wouldn't be eligible for the credit.

I just pulled up my email confirmation from the last time I booked one of these in Novemeber, rate is listed as "ASPIRE CARD BENEFIT" and I had no problems getting the credit at checkout.
