I do not get ill often but the few times over the years during travel it is miserable.
Valid point but it definitely changes the calculus for me personally to travel vs. not traveling.
My assumption is United doesn't "care" about the number of premier members and will only consider status waivers if it will somehow make them $ / keep them from losing $.
