In my dream capitalistic/ democratic world, US could have set the salary and benefits they would pay for every position. Those who wanted that position could take the job and those who didn't could take a hike.

There is no reason in this day and age for a mob of employees to hold a company hostage to such degree that they can't help but go out of business. The company should do it to itself - if what US was willing/ able to pay couldn't attract enough employees, they would slowly force themselves into liquidation by having to cut flights/ service based on the lack of available staffing.

That said, I hope we can all come together and make this work...............
