Global rent a car scam

First of all , probably lots of customers complain to practices of “Global rent-a-car” , especially Polish branch. Practically every customer renting a car from them in Poland is victim of long going scam and rip-off from that company. If You’ve read reviews which I’ve send You as a link , where there is in detail described hundreds of similar situations to mine, You could’ve come to conclusion that something is wrong and that You have to look into this matter more seriously.

Second, “Global” customer service is non existant and they are not replying to emails , and so far I have manage to get one employee who just told me that I will receive invoice for damage by mail. The same one who made damage report as this is the only person working in their WAW airport office.

“Global” is charging ridiculous things – like car cleaning (after normal use or when it’s raining) and they charge around E 100, insisting that they need to chemicaly clean their cars.
They are adding amounts from E200 to E500 for imaginary scratches (let’s say no longer than 2-3 cm usually below the car) , dents or similar even if they are non existent. When renting out You can inspect the car in dark garage (in my case on Warsaw airport), so maybe if something is not marked as a damage You can complain, but when returning car there is absolutely no chance for inspection of the car with any employee, because they refuse it and insist to just hand them the keys. After that it’s easy for them to mark any new imaginary damages they find suitable to charge a customer as the customer is already gone. Usually the moment You board the flight they will send You return protocol with marked new damages , but it’s to late to return to the office and complain. After that, as they have preauthorization on customers CC, they can charge any amount to the highest preauthorized amount. As I see from reviews they are not even sending invoices for imaginary damages, so it maybe goes even further including theft and tax evasion. The worst outcome is of course that they will charge several customers for the same damage and that way make upsell on their initial low rental prices.

So, be very careful with Global in Poland!
