In CO's mindset they have...buy a higher priced ticket and compensate us for the additional expense and we'll give you the EQM's. Obvioulsy not logical in a price sensitive market or for corporate travel mangers who are probably noy overly concerned with staff elite status.
TA are basically used these days to control costs and much of the cost of that expense has now shifted to the Corp's. Maybe if it all did the 100% EQMs would be available on all fares.
I feel that one additional step CO needs to make is 100% transparency of the fare structure.
Namely, when I request a flight I should see the price in every available class of service.
