First time poster.
On 17/09/19 I applied for an AC eupgrade to J on Flight 302 (YVR-YUL) on 25/10/19. The plane is Fin 939, so one of the four.
I was immediately upgraded to Business and was charged 6 points. Seat was 5K.
Just checked and 3 e upgrade points have now been refunded and I am now listed as being in PE and 3A...same cabin of course.
I called and verified with AC and the rep advised me they are adjusting to PE after the requests and confirmation. That's decent.
What prompted me to call was I checked my eupgrade status on AC and am still waitlisted for J for 3 points. I suspect ( and hope) that will simply go away, as that class simply does not exist on this equipment.
Will keep you posted as to what they feature on the flight...I am pleased that they did this w/o me having to contact them.

Sorry for the delay in updating...had forgotten what the forum was called but I have found it!
I ended up getting the upgrade but did not have any points deducted! I received the refund for the J class as it did not exist on the aircraft ( as they treated the layout as PE) and never had to use credits for the PE upgrade as there was no means to request an upgrade to PE on the website. So the waitlisted credits for the J upgrade were returned.
So I benefited from a Catch-22!!
