One other thought, if you guaranteed the reservation to the card you're planning on cancelling, you're most likely still okay. To be safe you could call in and update the card used to guarantee your reservation.

I agree as long as neither of the 2 certs were just granted. If 1 of the certs was placed in the acct and is for renewing the CC for next year and you dont renew will Marriott or Chase claw back the pts somehow? and if no pts then charge you as if it was a rev stay?
