Question Why is One Way more expensive than a Multi-City Return?
I need to be in NYC on 14th March and return from Miami on 22nd March. So I tried the following:

LHR-JFK 13th
MIA-LHR 22nd
Total = £3600.

Since the outbound is actually available on Avios, I looked at cash only for the return but it increases to £4500...

How on earth is the one way from MIA-LHR £900 more expensive then LHR-JFK + MIA-LHR? I'm stumped!
