Cancelled flight, system thinks they already flew back..
My niece and two friends were scheduled to fly from RSW to YUL Friday night. 3 people 2 different PNRs. AC913. A321 empty enough that they moved people to the back rows for weight and balance. Pushed back, taxied. Came back to gate. Flight cancelled.
They got rebooked on different flights. Even better, on different days. One via YYZ on a phantom Rouge Flight RV1997; the other two via AC1615 on the Sunday.
Called AC got them all on the same flight, but on the Sunday as everything was overbooked on the Saturday.
Last night, the two on the same PNR tried to check in but the system wouldn't allow it. The thrid on the lone PNR was OK. Seems weird so called back.
According to the system, they had already flown back. A few escalations and an hour on the phone later it was fixed and they have boarding passes.
Anyone else have this happen? Is this potentially Amadeus related?
