Ever had a just DISASTROUS work-week and weren't quite sure how you could recover.....???

SO yeah...this just happened.....got home Friday morning and knew I needed a last-minute getaway for an ocean-front room somewhere warm...

Check all of my favorite spots (I could GET to Maui for $350....but the SPARSE Ocean Front rooms were all $1k/night.....ugh....).......AUA, SXM, STT, and some I have never been to....every island in HI, even Mexico., which I loathe.....ugh....nothing.....

Somehow I found that I can book a flight to Tahiti using AA miles and they had last-minute availability flying to PPT in PE (day flight) and flying home in J (night flight) for only 145k AA Miles.

BOOKED!

But where to stay for a measly 4 nights,.....? I want Bora Bora but that takes an extra day of traveling so the IC Tahiti it is.

Booked a King Panoramic View Room for $305/night for 4 nights, which includes breakfast.

Why are there so many complaints about this hotel on the internet....?????? I was quite hesitant to book this but I pulled the trigger.....and was kindly upgraded to a Superior Lagoon OWB due to my AMB status.....never stayed in one of those before....

NEED THIS GETAWAY......and will post my thoughts and see if people on the internet are just whiners....haha

Never been to Tahiti and never stayed in an OWB.....
