I've stayed at the Cape Town Hollow twice. It is a smaller hotel with a pool, a nice restaurant, and across the street from Company's Garden and the South Africa Museum. The center city area was fine doing the day. There were some homeless people at night but a lot of people on the street and no more dangerous than any other large city. I felt comfortable walking around the area during the day including in Company's Garden and on Long Street.
