Interesting. So I guess Swissotel can afford to be stingy in different ways because they have the views, and some guests will continue to return nonetheless. Also it's clear that over time a paying lounge (Fairmont, Ritz Carlton) will generally be better than a lounge with free access to elites such as Hilton. The only problem is that Swissotel is trying to make themselves a Fairmont, in contradiction with the rules!
Yes, I would choose Swissôtel Tallinn even if I wasn't ALL member. At least 3/5 of my stays in Tallinn are for relaxation purposes, that's why I appreciate the nice views when reading a book, good gym facilities etc. a lot.
All that being said, with better member recognition, I would most definitely choose Swissôtel more often.
