Well, the clear-out would be pretty massive as the all airlines in the group would lose virtually all their international traffic rights outside their own jurisdiction (the EU being understood as constituting a single jurisdiction for these purposes) and EU-registered airlines within the group would lose their AOC and be unable to fly anywhere so it is a very large part of the workforce that would have to be let go and QR's purchase would be a worthless empty shell.
