If that doesn't work for you, contact the hotel to see about a quote in local currency, or stay at a local hotel chain.
FWIW it doesn't always work out in the hotel's favour, so don't go rushing to assume that this method of quoting room rates is just a hotel scam.
the hotel is always selling their room in the local currency but Marriott who always displays in USD in certain countries (maybe only Latin America?). They aren’t losing money but fluctuations in currency.
