Here in NYC food is almost always delivered by the restaurant itself and delivery services mainly serve as order platforms. It would be highly unusual for me to have a serious issue with food temperature and many of my orders are from very nice restaurants. Maybe it's because I'm careful about the restaurants I order from. Yet another YMMV situation but a situation in which some perceive their issues as universal.
