TSA PreCheck on boarding pass but agent denied it
Hi there,
I could not find anything on Google about this. I have Global Entry and was returning with my family (kids don't have GE yet) from Frankfurt via SAN to SFO in January. Our LH and UA boarding passes (printed and Apple wallet) had the Tsa Pre checkmark. Once we landed in San Diego and cleared immigration in record time of sub 10 minutes, we headed towards the precheck security line. There was nobody in line. When we scanned the boarding passes, the agent said we did not have precheck and have to go to the normal line. This has never happened to me and makes no sense considering the checkmark was on the boarding passes, but there was no arguing, especially after a 12 hour flight...
Why could this have happened and how can I avoid this in the future? I frequently take the kids to Europe and while their GE is pending typically my precheck just rubs off on them domestically (i take the layover flights as it's much cheaper with kids).
Thank you!!!
