It was either with TSA@JFK Terminal 1 or 2 where I’ve had to tell off a TSA employee in a way and say that a family being composed of people of different ethnic mixes doesn’t make the family any less of a family. Never had an issue with TSA doing that kind of thing for that family at any other terminal or airport after that, but it was the second time I saw it happen to them there and wondered what was up (as I knew the names on the passports couldn’t be the excuse). But that was years ago, and since then the TSA yelling at passengers there and elsewhere seems to have been dropping over time as passengers seem to get more proactively “compliant” with the TSA’s practices and passenger familiarity increases with regard to the most commonly experienced TSA processes.
