I live in KUL and am a Gold card / sapphire with QR. I fly pretty much every week to SIN on MH and my preference in the KUL satellite is to use the CX lounge as I usually find it quiet, food is ok and I can work in peace in one of the corners. Yesterday I went to the lounge, lady on the desk was quite cold towards me. She asked if I had been there the week before as she recognized me, I said I had. She asked if I lived in KL or Singapore and I said KL. She then said very pointedly, have you tried the MH Lounge? I said yes, but that I prefer the CX lounge.

I was a bit taken aback by this encounter. If CX don't want people in their lounge, they can easily change the rules. As per Oneworld rules, I had every right to be there. I would understand if the lounge was busy and they were trying to save it for their own customers, but the lounge was literally empty.
