The non-stop SJC-DTW is way cheaper than the N/S SFO-DTW flights. It gets even better if you get picky about your flight times (no red-eyes). Choosing Basic Economy can save close to $400 for 2x people R/T, even if you add in parking at SJC.
I've taken advantage of great deals on this flight too. And generally the same plane (739) for SFO and SJC
