This is not correct, the TSA ID checker will give you a laminated "Pre Check" sheet and direct you to the X-Ray lane at the far end and they follow Pre Check rules for those qualified.
I’ve done this many times. All the way to the left when airside. Just say you have precheck and you go through the same short line but you get precheck service and you come out right in front of the SAS lounge. I’ve never had any sort of a line.
