The issue is that there was a large group of volley ball players staying in the hotel. As we were checking in they were running around taking selfies with various parts of the hotel. Some even went behind the front desk to take pictures with the staff. The process was disruptive and noisy. Some of them were yelling and hollering as they ran around.

The bellman who delivered our luggage complained about the process and the stairs leading to the clock tower rooms. It was 3 steps. Then the keys didn’t work. Agent was probably distracted by shrieking volleyball players.

We went down to eat in the station grill restaurant. The menu is very limited. We knew there were choices on the bar menu that we preferred. Waiter refused to honor request. We asked for the manager.

We explained to the manager our dissatisfaction with our experiences to that point. She told us that the volleyball players were guests too. She didn’t seem to understand that the hotel designing and sanctioning a scavenger hunt was disruptive to other guests.

Breakfast in the station Grille restaurant is the lone strength in f this property. One of the best buffets in the Hilton system.

We left our room at 12 noon and returned at 9 pm and the room has not been made up. We saw a made cart by the stairs on the way out at noon. No replenishing of water bottles.

We attempted to order room service at 10 pm and was told that it waive a 90 minute wait for a turkey sandwich and cranberry juice. Pathetic.

Based on these experiences it is clear to me that this hotel is unable to provide even basic services.
One thing that management can do when they are going to have sports teams there is to require enough chaperones. They can also have a meeting when the teams for come in and explain the "rules of the hotel".
