It has been 25 years since there was a major chain hotel in Hobart ( when the Sheraton became a Grand Chancellor). There is a need for properties like Moxy, Aloft, Hyatt Centric, Ibis, HIX, as well as the upmarket boutique places . Hobart is insanely expensive.
