So just flew up on Sunday to see Elton - Christchurch to Auckland - NZ538. Flight back today was NZ535. Seats 9D and 9E on both flights. . Flight up - loads of legspace ( certainly for domestic economy) and plenty of space between my face and back of seat in front. I'm not on the small side so appreciate every extra bit of space. Seemed to be a newer plane. Flight back. Felt like it was super cramped. Could barely open a book between me and the seat in front to read it. The good lady noticed it as well. She is on the normal size and felt cramped in as well.
The plane up seemed to be new(er) although the one back down from Auckland had the seat back tellies and old controllers beneath them.
I can only see the same seating plans for the A320's so can someone point me towards the correct plans for these planes as the seating arrangement was miles different.
Cheers
Ged
Both flights were A320CEOs
Though by looks had OXF one way up which is a domestically configured A320CEO. While on way back was OJD which is a ETOPS configured A320CEO, which is older and will have the screens etc.
The domestic A320CEOs do have more space on the right hand side forward of the over wing exits, than the ETOPS one do. Due to the extra row in the ETOPS planes on the right side.
