I do think this policy is sensible for airlines and not a knee-jerk reaction, it’s not hard to conceive virus on hands, transferred to towel, transferred to cabin crew from tray. To those asking for evidence- where is your evidence that it is safe?
and yes IMHO raising cabin temperature is unlikely to reduce any risk and may well raise it, most pathogens like 35-40 degrees.
