If you want to wash you hands, and it is always surprising the number of fellow travellers who don’t before consuming a meal, use soap and water. A luke warm moist towel just want do the trick and is likely to make things worse given many bacterium do like warm and moist. the towels would have to be boiling to kill virus under current WHO guidance. I do think this policy is sensible for airlines and not a knee-jerk reaction, it’s not hard to conceive virus on hands, transferred to towel, transferred to cabin crew from tray.

I know which organisation is rather work for, one that takes advice of experts in infectious diseases and occupational health to an international crisis that is COVID-19, or one that demands evidence before making any change.

and yes IMHO raising cabin temperature is unlikely to reduce any risk and may well raise it, most pathogens like 35-40 degrees.
